When Micaela sends her husband, Travis, to his office Christmas party, she writes a funny note and sticks it on his chest. Later, when he comes home drunk, she finds a reply written on the note. But who wrote it, and what does it mean?
Micaela doesn’t attend office Christmas parties where people get drunk and speak their minds, and she’s glad about that. But Travis wasn’t so lucky. Before he left, she sent him off with the note as a joke.
And if you think Travis drinks too much, Micaela says, don’t judge her!
Travis and I have been married for five years, so I trust him completely. Writing the note was just a joke because I had a marker in my hand while he was getting ready.
I wrote, “This is my husband; touch him, and you’ll pay – M.”
As he left, he smiled and said, “Micaela, I’m just going to have a few drinks. I’ll be home early.”
After he left, I stayed home decorating the living room and putting up the Christmas tree since we hadn’t had time to do it before. But as I was hanging the stockings on the mantel, Travis stumbled into the house.
One look at him, and I knew he was drunk. I helped him to our bedroom and started getting him ready for bed. While taking off his clothes, I noticed someone had written a response to the note I had scribbled.
