5-INGREDIENT OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

These soft, chewy, and naturally sweetened oatmeal raisin cookies are my absolute favorite when I’m craving something delicious yet wholesome! They come together in no time, require just five simple ingredients, and are perfect for a quick snack or a cozy treat. If you prefer chocolate chips instead of raisins, feel free to swap them in!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana (mashed until smooth) – Adds natural sweetness and helps bind the ingredients.
  • ¼ cup almond butter (or any nut butter of your choice) – Provides a rich, nutty flavor and healthy fats.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon – Enhances the flavor with a warm, cozy spice.
  • 1 cup oats (I used gluten-free) – Creates a hearty texture while keeping the cookies naturally wholesome.
  • 1/3 cup raisins – Brings a chewy, sweet contrast to the oats.

Instructions:

1️⃣ Mash the Banana – In a small bowl, mash the ripe banana with a fork until it becomes smooth and creamy. The riper the banana, the sweeter your cookies will be! ✨

2️⃣ Mix the Wet Ingredients – Add the almond butter and cinnamon to the mashed banana and stir well until everything is fully combined. The mixture should be smooth and fragrant.

3️⃣ Incorporate the Dry Ingredients – Gently stir in the oats, making sure they are evenly coated in the wet mixture. This will ensure the cookies have a soft yet chewy texture.

4️⃣ Add the Raisins – Fold in the raisins, distributing them evenly throughout the dough. If you prefer, you can swap them for chocolate chips or even chopped nuts for added crunch!

5️⃣ Chill the Dough – Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. This helps firm up the mixture, making it easier to scoop and shape into cookies.

6️⃣ Shape and Bake – Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, portion out the dough into four equal-sized cookies. Flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.

7️⃣ Bake to Perfection – Place the cookies in the oven and bake for 12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and slightly crisp around the edges. The aroma of warm cinnamon and oats will fill your kitchen!

8️⃣ Finishing Touches – Remove the cookies from the oven and, if you’d like, sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top for a delicious sweet-salty contrast. Let them cool for a few minutes before enjoying! ❤️
