In the afterlife, the unexpected is often the most memorable. Such was the case when a wife, after years of longing, finally arrived in heaven to reunite with her late husband. She saw him from a distance, tears welling up in her eyes, and ran toward him, overwhelmed with emotion. “Darling, oh how I’ve missed you!” she cried, ready to throw her arms around him.
But instead of the warm embrace she expected, the husband extended his arms in a stop gesture, holding her at bay. “Woah there, woman,” he said with a smirk, “The contract was until death.”
The wife, taken aback and slightly puzzled, paused. “What do you mean? We made vows to be together forever!”
The husband shrugged, his face breaking into a grin. “Well, technically, the agreement was ‘until death do us part.’ You know, the fine print,” he teased.
