The street was like any other in a quiet neighborhood, with cars passing from time to time and pedestrians walking along without much attention to what lay beneath their feet.
The road itself showed signs of wear, small cracks and uneven patches that had formed over time. Near the side of the street, there was a narrow hole where part of the asphalt had broken away, creating a small but dangerous gap.
Most people stepped around it without thinking twice, unaware that this ordinary flaw in the road had become a life-threatening trap for a tiny creature.
Inside that dark, narrow hole, a small cat had become stuck. It was likely a curious kitten, drawn by instinct to explore its surroundings, unaware of the danger beneath the surface.
