The early morning sun cast a warm golden glow across the countryside. A gentle breeze moved through the tall grass, and birds chirped from nearby trees as the quiet road wound through fields and hills. A young goat was in trouble.

The goat had slipped into a shallow ditch hidden beneath thick weeds and loose soil.

He gently wrapped the blanket beneath the goat and carefully lifted while his son pulled from above.
Mud slid beneath their boots.
But little by little, the goat rose higher.

Its front hooves reached solid ground.
With one last effort, the small animal scrambled out of the ditch.
Immediately, the mother goat rushed forward.
She touched noses with her baby and began cleaning mud from its face.
The young goat pressed against her side, safe once again.
Rebecca smiled with relief.
Mr. Harris laughed softly.
“Looks like somebody had quite an adventure today,” he joked.
After checking the little goat for injuries and making sure everything was alright, the farmer guided the herd back toward the pasture.
The mother goat stayed close to her youngster, refusing to let it wander far.
And the little goat, tired but unharmed, followed faithfully beside her.
Soon, the peaceful sounds of grazing animals returned to the countryside.
Rebecca continued her drive to town with a smile.
She had started the day expecting nothing unusual.
Instead, she had witnessed a reminder that even small acts of kindness matter.
