The first rays of morning sunlight spilled gently across a peaceful countryside garden, where colorful flowers stretched toward the sky and fruit trees swayed softly in the cool breeze.
Dew sparkled on every leaf, while butterflies drifted lazily from blossom to blossom. The cheerful songs of birds echoed through the air, creating the kind of quiet harmony that made the garden feel like a hidden paradise.
Nestled among the flowering trees lived many wild birds that visited each day in search of fruit, seeds, and fresh water. Bright finches fluttered between branches, doves rested peacefully on wooden fences, and occasionally a magnificent green-and-red parrot would appear, filling the morning with its vibrant colors and unmistakable calls.
On this particular morning, one beautiful parrot arrived just after sunrise.
Its brilliant emerald feathers shimmered in the golden light, while flashes of scarlet and blue decorated its wings. Curious by nature, the bird glided gracefully through the garden, landing on the branch of a pear tree heavy with ripe fruit.
The parrot tilted its head.
Everything looked peaceful.
It hopped carefully from one branch to another, stopping occasionally to nibble at fresh fruit before exploring farther into the garden. Every movement was full of confidence, and every flutter of its wings reflected years of effortless flight.
Then something unexpected happened.
Near one corner of the garden, a protective mesh had been stretched over climbing vegetables to keep larger animals away from the plants. Over time, part of the lightweight mesh had loosened after several windy days, leaving a section hanging awkwardly between wooden stakes and nearby shrubs.
From above, it was difficult to notice.
The parrot flew toward a nearby flowering bush.
As it passed over the garden, one wing brushed against the loose mesh.
In an instant, everything changed.
The lightweight strands wrapped around part of the bird’s wing and body.
Startled, the parrot instinctively flapped harder.
Instead of breaking free, the movement twisted the mesh even tighter.
Within seconds, the beautiful bird found itself suspended awkwardly among the garden plants.
The parrot cried out loudly.

Leaves scattered across the ground.

Fear had replaced curiosity.
The morning songs of nearby birds suddenly changed.

They circled briefly above the garden before settling at a safe distance, watching the trapped parrot below.
The garden, so peaceful only moments earlier, now held an anxious silence broken only by the frightened bird’s repeated cries.
Minutes passed.
The parrot continued trying to free itself.
Every movement caused the mesh to stretch and tighten.
Gradually, exhaustion began replacing panic.
Its wings slowed.
Its breathing remained heavy.
Still, the bird occasionally made another determined effort, only to discover that nothing had changed.
Not far away, an elderly gardener stepped outside carrying a watering can.
He planned to spend the morning tending flowers before the day became too warm.
As he walked along the stone pathway, an unfamiliar sound reached his ears.
A loud, repeated call.
He stopped immediately.
Looking around the garden, he listened carefully.
The cry came again.
Concern spread across his face.
Setting the watering can gently on the ground, he followed the sound toward the vegetable beds.
When he rounded the corner, he froze.
There, hanging in the loose garden mesh, was the magnificent parrot.
The bird immediately noticed him.
Startled once more, it flapped frantically.
The mesh twisted again.
The gardener quickly raised one hand and spoke in a calm, gentle voice.
“Easy now… don’t struggle.”
Of course, the parrot could not understand the words.
But it responded slightly to the peaceful tone.
Its frantic movements slowed just enough for the gardener to study the situation carefully.
He knew rushing forward or pulling the bird free too quickly could make the tangles worse or damage its delicate feathers.
Patience would be essential.
He slowly walked closer, moving carefully so as not to frighten the bird further.
The parrot watched every movement.
Its body trembled.
Its eyes remained wide with fear.
The gardener crouched beside the mesh and examined exactly where the strands had wrapped around the bird.
Fortunately, the lightweight material had tangled mostly around the wing feathers rather than causing any visible injury.
Still, every knot needed to be loosened carefully.
