Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Recipe – A Delicious & Healthy Fall Treat

As the crisp autumn air settles in, I can’t help but crave the comforting flavors of fall! This Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread is my go-to homemade version of the pumpkin loaf I used to love from Starbucks—but with a healthier twist! It’s soft, moist, packed with warm spices, and naturally sweetened, making it a perfect guilt-free indulgence. Plus, it’s gluten-free and easy to make with simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen!

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats (for a wholesome, fiber-rich base)
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (for moisture and that delicious fall flavor)
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin spice (feel free to add more for a stronger spice kick!)
  • 4 eggs (or flax eggs for a vegan option)
  • 1/3 cup milk of choice (I used almond milk, but any works!)
  • 1 tsp baking soda (to help the bread rise)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for extra warmth and sweetness)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional, but enhances the flavors)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup (or raw honey for a natural sweetness)
  • ¾ cup dark chocolate chips (because pumpkin + chocolate is a match made in heaven!)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Blend the base: In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips. Blend until smooth and well mixed.

2️⃣ Fold in the chocolate: Gently stir in the dark chocolate chips, reserving some to sprinkle on top.

3️⃣ Prepare the pan: Line a 9” x 5” loaf pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter. Smooth the top with a spatula.

4️⃣ Top it off: Sprinkle additional chocolate chips over the top for extra decadence.

5️⃣ Bake to perfection: Place the pan in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6️⃣ Cool & enjoy: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature with a cup of coffee or tea.
