What if we could rewind time? Go back to the days of scraped knees, open skies, and dreams that hadn’t yet been tested by the world?
For many of us, youth is a blur of moments some joyful, some painful, and many forgotten in the rush to grow up. But every now and then, we pause and wonder: If I could go back… would I live it differently?
More Curiosity, Less Fear
As children, we asked “why?” with wide eyes. But somewhere along the way, we learned to stay quiet — afraid of sounding foolish or being judged. If we could return, maybe we’d let that curiosity lead the way, no matter who was watching.
More Feeling, Less Hiding
In our youth, emotions were raw and real. But life teaches us to build walls. What if we didn’t? What if we cried when it hurt, laughed when it healed, and said “I love you” without hesitation?
More Living, Less Waiting
So much time is spent waiting for the “right moment.” Waiting to be ready. But youth isn’t about being ready it’s about being alive. We’d take the leap, ride the bike down the hill without brakes, dance in the rain, and stop worrying about how we looked doing it.
Regret vs. Remembrance
Not everyone wants to relive the past. Some carry pain. But even in that pain, there were sparks of resilience. Moments where we stood back up. Where we survived. If nothing else, maybe we’d go back just to hug that younger version of ourselves and whisper, “You did your best. You were always enough.”
Youth Isn’t a Time It’s a Feeling
Maybe we can’t go back in years… but we can go back in spirit. We can still be curious. Still be brave. Still believe in magic. Because youth isn’t lost with age it fades only when we stop choosing wonder.
So ask yourself:
If you could go back… how would you live?
And better yet why not live that way now?
