Bobcat Moves Toward a Mountain Goat Caught Beneath a Fallen Tree in Deep Snow

The bobcat remained farther back, watching the movement from between the trees. It did not follow closely as the goat moved away from the fallen branches.

The person who had witnessed the scene stayed at a safe distance and allowed the animals to create more separation. There was no need for a risky confrontation now that the goat had found its way out.

The mountain goat slowly made its way across the snowy slope. It paused once, then continued toward thicker terrain where it could move more naturally.
