Chocolate Orange Truffles Recipe
These Chocolate Orange Truffles turned out even better than I imagined—and I already had high hopes! If you’ve been following along, you know I love creating new truffle flavors based on your votes. Since it was a tie between classic chocolate truffles and zesty orange truffles, I combined both flavors to make an irresistible treat!
The result? A perfect balance of soft, crunchy, nutty, chocolatey, and citrusy goodness—all in one bite! These no-bake truffles are packed with flavor, naturally sweetened, and incredibly easy to make. Plus, they’re gluten-free and full of wholesome ingredients!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 cup raw nuts (I used ½ cup walnuts and ½ cup cashews) – soaking for 30 minutes makes blending easier
- 1 cup Medjool dates (soften them in warm water before blending)
- 6 tbsp gluten-free oats
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (for added texture and nutrients)
- ¼ cup cacao powder (rich, deep chocolate flavor)
- Juice from 1-2 large oranges (adjust to taste for a citrus boost)
- Melted dark chocolate (for that indulgent coating)
- Orange zest (optional, but highly recommended for extra flavor)
How to Make Them:
1️⃣ Blend the Base: In a food processor, combine all ingredients except the melted chocolate and orange zest. Blend until the mixture sticks together.
2️⃣ Form the Truffles: Roll into bite-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate while you prepare the chocolate coating.
3️⃣ Coat in Chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate, then dip each truffle until fully coated. Return them to the baking sheet.
4️⃣ Add a Finishing Touch: Sprinkle with orange zest or any toppings you love.
5️⃣ Chill & Enjoy: Freeze for about 30 minutes until set, then indulge in these delicious homemade truffles!
These Chocolate Orange Truffles make the perfect healthy snack, energy bite, or guilt-free dessert. They’re naturally sweet, loaded with nutrients, and bursting with rich chocolate and bright citrus flavors.
