The morning traffic moved steadily along the quiet highway as people headed toward work and nearby towns. Cars passed by without slowing down, and the sounds of engines echoed across the open landscape.

To most drivers, it seemed like just another ordinary day. But hidden near the roadside, behind overgrown weeds and scattered debris, a pair of bright blue eyes waited helplessly for someone to notice.

Inside a locked iron cage sat a frightened husky.
