Soft rays of sunlight reflected off the windows of apartment buildings, and the streets were still quiet except for a few early commuters and delivery trucks. A cool breeze drifted through the neighborhood, carrying the smell of fresh bread from a nearby bakery. It seemed like an ordinary morning.
But beside a busy sidewalk, something unexpected had happened.
A tiny Pomeranian puppy was trapped.
The fluffy little dog, no more than a few months old, had apparently wandered away during the night. Curious and energetic, the puppy had explored every corner of the neighborhood, sniffing flower beds and chasing leaves blown by the wind.

Near the corner of an intersection stood a metal street pole protected by a wire guard. The narrow spaces between the metal bars were designed to shield the pole from accidental damage.

His name was Teddy.
And there was a phone number.
Rachel made the call.
Meanwhile, Teddy sat comfortably in Emma’s lap, happily accepting small pieces of bread crust and endless affection.
Less than thirty minutes later, a young couple arrived, nearly in tears.
“Teddy!”
The puppy’s ears perked up instantly.

“We’ve been looking for him all night,” the woman said, wiping tears from her eyes.
“He slipped out through the backyard gate.”
They thanked Emma, the firefighters, and Rachel repeatedly.
But Teddy seemed too busy covering everyone with excited kisses to notice.
Before leaving, the couple hugged Emma.
“You saved our baby.”
Emma smiled.
“I just heard him.”
