Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet Large skillet or frying pan

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until the honey dissolves.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot and shimmering.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens and caramelizes.
  5. Serve hot over cooked rice, spooning the extra sticky sauce over the top.

Notes

For additional crispiness, you can use skin-on thighs and sear them skin-side down first. This recipe can also be made ahead and stored in the fridge or freezer.
